Amorphis Atlanta Concert reviews
Pearl Jam Saves The Day
After getting there and deciding to go in, me and my friend were driving to Noblesville really excited to see Amorphis and Band of Horses on a Friday morning. It was a real gem live, the crowd erupting as the song builds...incredible. I was sure the show was going to be cancelled, the weather was getting really bad.
They let us in after about an hour of waiting, and we made our way to 2ND ROW! Amorphis hit the stage and opened with an amazing version of "Release" and the crowd went crazy. Last Exit, Got Some, Rats, some first set highlights. Unfortunately, we missed Band of Horses as we were trying to get in.
Eddie and the boys were quickly moving through the set as they had lost some time due to the weather. The tracks from TEN have taken on such a fresh sound. "Garden" on the encore was a welcome surprise. I know Amorphis wants their fans to be safe, and if there was any question of that they were going to call it.
To say I was panicking when I got to the gate and they wouldn't let us in would be an understatement. I think had the weather not been so rough, they would not have been rushed, but as it was they completed a great night of music with a rocking version of "Baba O'Riley" and "Yellow Ledbetter".
